According to Sharks forward Jeremy Roenick, who reached the Stanley Cup in 1992, players with that kind of experience have a certain intangible:
"They know what it takes to win a Cup - blood, sweat and tears, and you have to put that out all the time. Some guys don't know what it's like to give every ounce of effort and still have to give more. These guys know there is still another level of push, and that's the only way you can do it."
