Was incredibly saddened to hear that Mike Whitmarsh died earlier this week. He was just 46 and has two young daughters.We played together at USD and Whit played for my Dad with the Timberwolves. He went on to have a long pro beach volleyball career and won a silver medal at the '96 Olympics in Atlanta.
Besides being a terrific athlete and a super competitor, Whit was a great guy. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
