Losers of five straight, the NY Islanders have won 16 of 55 games this season, the fewest wins in the NHL.But coach Scott Gordon says that the losses have revealed something about certain players on the Islanders' roster.
"Something that's on the bright side of our organization is that we have the type of character people that, two or three years down the road, are the type of people you want," Coach Gordon said. "To be able to put everything aside and not change who they are because of the standings and to go out and play, knowing this isn't the greatest of situations but making the most of it. Quite honestly, those are the guys you want back next year."
