"I talked about this with the team," Barnes said. "I asked if they were a coach, what would they want to see from their players. It was interesting. They said 'hard work.' I said, 'It's obvious you haven't been coaches because the thing that goes to the top of the list of every coach is consistency. They want to know what they are going to get every day.'"

Down in Austin, Texas coach Rick Barnes, whose No. 12 Longhorns lost to Kansas State last night after winning three straight, "said some players don't understand the primary requirement for success."
