When you feel uncomfortable, you know you're in an area of weakness

ORL general manager Otis Smith (pictured here) has been one reason for PG Jameer Nelson's career year for the Magic. As he puts it:

"[Jameer] does all the things leaders are supposed to do, but sometimes leadership is uncomfortable in terms of being more vocal and in getting his team to be better than it is. That's where we have to get him -- to be a little bit uncomfortable."

His point about "getting uncomfortable" is an interesting one. I read something once from Harry Beckwith about how "when you feel uncomfortable, you know you're in an area of weakness, and identifying and overcoming weaknesses is one of the major ways we grow."

The idea is that, to improve, we should get a little "uncomfortable" every day.
