How to respond to getting benched

If you're looking for the right way to respond publicly to being benched after two games in favor of another player, here it is:

"I could easily hold my head low, keep my head down, you know, be a cancer to the team. I'm still frustrated and mad about the situation, but I'm going to use that as motivation to try to get better and just better myself for the future."

Minnesota Vikings QB Tarvaris Jackson didn't just say the right thing, he nailed it. He was honest ("I'm frustrated and mad..."), but he was professional and put the team's well-being first. No drama. No whining. Fully accountable.

It's also incredibly rare.
