A lack of commitment deprives you of team membership

In today's LA Times, UCLA football coach Rick Neuheisel talks about commitment to the team, saying:

"I want to make sure that every player on the team understands that any lack of commitment . . . does deprive you of team membership."

It reminded me of a great quote from the mountaineer W.H. Murray:

"Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. The moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now."
