The Lakers aren't the only team in LA concentrating more on defense this season.At UCLA, Ben Howland's team has spent the last few days of practice "step-sliding on defense, keeping your man in front of you, a lot of box-out drills, help rotation. Just a lot of basics."
According to PG Darren Collison, young players don't always comprehend "the effort and intensity required to play good defense."
Says Collison (pictured here with Coach Howland): "I know I didn't when I was a freshman."
